About
DJ Gary B was raised in the New York / Tri-state area under the influence of 70’s Soul and Disco. As we entered the early and mid 80’s in the New York area, the sounds of early New York Hip Hop started dominating the clubs, airwaves and culture. That’s when he first touched the Technique turntables. He was introduced to House Music in the mid 1980’s away in college by friend and music producer Steve Mathis from Chicago (Writer and Producer of “True Loveâ€). In the 90’s as a resident of Motown Detroit, House Music and Techno dominated the underground club scene in the city. Now back on the East Coast, it is his pleasure to share the spirit of his musical journey through the spinning of Soulful Music for the people.
